Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boar is beast for my boys..and the girl who rules! I have two great danes and a maltese mix. Each have their own preferences and issues. One dane is sensitive to almost everything. My other dane is like a garbage disposal with fur. The maltese mix rules the roost, but is extremely picky with what she will eat. Canyon canine with wild boar they all devour! Their coats look amazing. Shiny, thick and healthy. They thrive with canyon canine and save me the headache of buying individual food for each of them. Recommend 100%!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tell them Groucho sent you! My lil rescue mutt, Groucho Barx, lives here in the American southwest. He needs a good and healthy dogfood to keep up his energy to run and explore the cactus ridges and shadowy canyons of the Mojave desert. The Wild bore blend of the southwest recipe is exactly what Groucho needs. He doesn't have any issues devouring his meal everyday. Thank you for providing him with such a well balanced and healthy food for him.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made my puppy SMELL BAD! After upgrading to hard puppy food, our baby started smelling foul and rancid like his feces! He was gassy and I could barely tolerate it. The store where I bought it had me change the flavor but it didn't help! I was refunded for both bags, recommended a better food, put on "Switch" and the smell went away within a day in a half! THANK GOODNESS, this food didn't harm our puppy anymore!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from German Shepherd approved! We recently switched to Taste of the Wild for our German Shepherd. She is a picky eater, but she absolutely loves the Southwest Canyon formula. She prefers beef, and it is difficult to find high quality dog food that is beef-based. She is a high-performance, active dog, and the high protein definitely meets her nutritional needs. We are very happy to have found this brand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jethro Tull loves the wild boar! My dog, Jethro Tull, really enjoys the wild boar recipe. When we get a back of it he really seems to go wild and dance and jump around. He loves it so much I let him eat some out of the pouring bag like drinking from waterfall! Ire commend all Taste of the Wild but this flavor seems to be very good. Jethro has a sensitive stomach and this flavor never gives him issues either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only dog food my dogs will eat. We rescued a Athena about a year ago. She is a pitbull shar pei mix. When she came to us dull coat, underweight and her eyes were very cloudy. Took her in to see the vet they were upset how bad she was. After a few months of eatting t.o.w.. Her coat is shiny and eyes are clear. The vets were amazed how well she is after 3mos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dogs have been eating it for years I have been feeding this to my 4 dogs for about 5 years now. They all love it. I know that I'm feeding them quality food that is good for them, and they're eating food they really like. Win-win! I recommend TOTW to a lot of people I know that have dogs - all my family members feed it to their dogs as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best dry food we've tried! Our boy is a very enthusiastic Dutch Shepard. He gets very anxious with change and has trouble with breed specific brands causing stomach and bowel issues in the past. Taste of the Wild had been a wonderful option and has caused no issues with his digestion. He has put on weight and really enjoys his food!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dogs hate the flavor I just purchased a bag of this 2 days ago and my dogs do not like the taste of it at all. We have tried other flavors and they love them, but with this they just sniff at it and barely touch it. I would return to my local Pets Supplies Plus but I threw the bag away to put it in my dog food container.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dogs love it, but way to much gas My dogs love the taste but honestly I can’t deal with the terrible gas this dog food has given them. Before switching to Tase of the Wild, my dogs were on Nutro limited ingredients grain free and we never had an issue with gas. So I’m thinking we will just switch back to that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great improvement to overall coat I have a 2 yr old female black GSD that is a very picky eater and of course sheds terrible and has a dry and dull coat. I switched to this food and we are only 3/4 of a large bag into it and her coat is now super shiny and the shedding has decreased. She also eats every drop.

Can I feed this particular flavor (Southwest Canyon) to an 8 week old puppy?

Asked by: Amber
Hi Amber, thanks for considering Taste of the Wild. We recommend choosing a food specifically formulated for puppies or all life stages, especially for very young puppies like yours. We have two formulas specifically designed for puppies - High Prairie Puppy and Pacific Stream Puppy.

Is there a temperature storage guideline? I am concerned about delivery left outside during summer. Thanks.

Asked by: tuphat
Hello, thanks for contacting us. The food should be kept in a cool, dry location as excess heat or moisture may cause the nutrients to break down. Leaving the sealed bag out for short periods of time, such as in a delivery, should not affect the food.

What formula should I use for an overweight retriever?

Asked by: Marie
Hi, Marie. We do not have any formulas specifically designed for weight loss. Our lowest calorie and fat formula is Sierra Mountain Canine, which contains 15% fat and 338 kcal/cup. You will likely need to feed about 10-20% less than the amounts listed in the feeding guide for each formula. We recommend consulting with your veterinarian to help determine your dog’s nutritional needs

I have a 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd and he is very active. Which dry food would be best for him to promote joint and bone health? Is there one choice (flavor) with Glucosamine and Chondroitin?

Asked by: jimmy88
Hello and thanks for reaching out! We do not add glucosamine or chondroitin to any Taste of the Wild recipes. Some of our recipes may include naturally occurring glucosamine and chondroitin due to the ingredients in that recipe, however the levels are not measured. We have several recipes that would be an excellent option for your German Shepherd.
