Ancient Prairie Canine Recipe with Roasted Bison & Roasted Venison is rated out of 5 by 492.Rated 5 out of 5 by maureen_l from My 1 year old pup loves this food! I personally like a little healthy grains in his diet. He always finishes his food and has healthy bowl movements. Im a big fan of the brand and their quality ingredientsDate published: 2019-10-08Rated 1 out of 5 by Sillygirl365 from Allergic Reaction Why would you put chicken meal & chicken fat into this Bison & Venison Recipe?? My dog is having a reaction to this food because of the chicken! I will never purchase your food again. I do not understand why dog food companies put chicken in their products especially when it is not a chicken based item. There are so many dogs out there with allergies to chicken and yet because it's a cheap product to use dog companies will use them and then our pets have to suffer. Again I will no longer be purchasing your items because of this.Date published: 2021-04-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Sully from Irish Boxer Loves Bison & Venison I’m Sully, formally John L. Sullivan III. Named after the first Irish boxing heavyweight champion of the world, and the big blue Monster from Monsters, Inc. I love my high prairie food with flavors of bison & venison. I’ve tried others, but they don’t even come close to satisfy my taste, training strength, and bodily functions. I feel like I’m following in the footsteps of my namesakes, strong, big and cuddly, and happy!Date published: 2023-03-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Jules from Our crew loves it We have a dog that has terrible allergies and hot spots. When we feed Taste Of The Wild she has minimal issues and a truely shiney coat with little shedding.Date published: 2022-03-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Snokrest from My adults and puppies love it I’ve fed Taste of The Wild since it first was introduced. Now I feed the Ancient Grain and my dogs and litters do great on it.Date published: 2021-02-19Rated 5 out of 5 by pcskigal from Pour the kibble into a bowl, blink and it's gone. That was my experience with TOTW. My pup wolfed it down so quickly that I almost forgot I gave it to him. I only received two small sample packs which for a 50lb dog is about one day's worth of dog food so I can't speak to its nutritional value. All I can vouch for is that he loved eating it and didnt get sick.Date published: 2019-11-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Young Nana from My Dog Loves It My dog has been in Taste of The Wild dry food for 6 years now and loves it. The Prairie Canine Recipe is his favorite. He is super healthy ( based on senior bloodwork) and looking good with his new summer cut.Date published: 2020-05-21Rated 5 out of 5 by honnae from My sister and I both use Taste of the Wild, and let me say, it is amazing! Best dog food for its price point. Every batch is consistent, so no tummy aches after buying a new bag. Their fur is lustrous and no dry skin (even in winter) or bad breath. My puppers are picky; I have to rotate food flavors every few months when they get tired of one flavor. Because Taste of the Wild has so many varieties, I never have to buy another brand. This particular variety is high protein, so keep that in mind when selecting a flavor for your pup.Date published: 2020-01-27Rated 5 out of 5 by Emmie22 from Our cocker spaniels love this food We have been feeding Taste Of The Wild brand dry dog food for over 18 years. We have always owned Cocker spaniels & they have thrived on this dog food. Our cockers have lived to be 15 to 17 years old & remained in good health until the very end. Old age related issues took our beautiful babies from us. But we firmly believe Taste of the Wild kept them with us for good lives. We try different flavors. All seem to give our cockers excellent results. Currently we are feeding Ancient Grains with Roasted Bison & Venison to our nine year old cocker. She still acts like a puppy & has a beautiful hair coat. Our vet is impressed with her excellent health. We will never feed another brand of dog food.Date published: 2022-04-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Patty from Papillons say yes, please! Ancient Prairie Canine Recipe has become the preferred food to my senior dogs ranging in age from 10 to 16. They are now on their 3rd 14 pound bag and 4 months into their new food. Because 2 had developed allergies in the past year, I decided a food change with a new protein source would be the place to start. At 12 weeks, it was clear that I found a solution with Ancient Prairie. Foot licking stopped, and coat texture improved dramatically. Because they are 5-8 pounds and seniors who get 6 trips to the yard a day, they are perfectly content with one meal a day and are in great weight. Despite their age, they do zoomies for 15 minutes an hour before dinnertime. They love their new food.Date published: 2021-06-07Rated 5 out of 5 by Jazz and Stormy from Our Aussies finally have a food they actually love We hav high energy, performance dogs, Even though they play and work hard they just didn't want to eat their food, we were buying very expensive dog food and they would just use it around in their bowl. We decided to try taste of the wild ancient prairie canine recipe; they loved it. We have been feeding it for a year and they are still not bored. We have a litter of puppies and have started them on TOTW puppy, they enjoy it too! Thank you for making a healthy dog food that my dogs actually enjoy!Date published: 2023-03-14Rated 5 out of 5 by HJAlessi from Loki loves all the Taste of the Wild variety of fo Loki has been fed Taste of the Wild food since day one. She loves it. She's a good eater anyway, apples, pears, blueberries, bananas, peas, beans. Plus it's one of the few good dog foods that has grain in it. I'm not sure why this is a trend, non grain dog food, when veterinarians state that grains are good for dogs. Anyway, this dog food is kind of hard to find sometimes. She's a nice healthy Mutt with a nice gleaming coat. It's a good dog food. Good ingredients. She gobbles it up. I also use it for training purposes.Date published: 2023-11-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Furbaby Mom from My 2 four legged canine variety furbabies love it. My children are grown up, have moved away so I have doggie babies now. I have tried many other brands of dog food (I'm not going to lie and say this is all they have ever eaten.) I started my puppies out on the well known Purina puppy chow, and then I started to care more about what was going into them and one is a food lover anything makes her happy she just likes to eat but my other one has a sensitive tummy and I started to read the labels (I felt so bad there was so much junk in dog food .) I have also tried Iams, Nutrish and Blue -until I found Taste of the Wild.. My girls are my babies , they go everywhere with me so they deserve the best. I can't get a picture (they walk away if i point the camera at them. )Date published: 2022-05-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Nonum24 from Wonderful high quality diet! When we got our French Bulldog puppy, the breeder recommended Taste of the Wild to us. I looked into the brand and talked to other Frenchie owners and my vet and it got rave reviews! We recently switched from the puppy to this adult diet. Our boy is happy, sassy and healthy! His coat is beautiful, he has pearly white teeth, strong muscles and great over all health! There is never any kibble left behind in his bowl! Top quality ingredients are first and foremost in importance when caring for my fur-baby. I couldn't be happier and my baby couldn't be healthier!Date published: 2022-04-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Lamby306 from Best of the best I have been feeding my flat coat retriever taste of the wild for months now. Thank you so much!Date published: 2023-03-14Rated 5 out of 5 by thubefit from I liked how my dog would eat it every time I put in his bowl. He has been picky before, and he wasnt picky with this product. I mixed it with the primary dog food for my dog because he is sensitive with new foods. Usually when new food is introduced to his diet, he would get diarrhea, but he did not get any diarrhea with this brand at all, which is great! There was nothing really I dislike about this product. I liked this a lot, and may possibly purchase this product to give to my dog in the future. I received this product for free for review purposes.Date published: 2020-01-02Rated 5 out of 5 by RobinG SD from High quality natural ingredients I count on I’ve tried other brands of dog food and always come back to Taste of the Wild because I can trust the quality & natural ingredients. I like made in the USA! 9+years Rainbow, and 18-month Mariposa are incredible dogs and I want them around for a long time; Taste of the Wild’s probiotics, omega fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and real meat will help them to stay healthy & active. I highly recommend Taste of the Wild.Date published: 2022-05-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Babe from Best results! Worked with dogs for over 55 years. This has been the best dog food. Taste of Wild food pleases all my dogs and they all thrive eating and enjoying the food.Date published: 2023-03-15Rated 5 out of 5 by twodoghomenow from Great for both sizes of dogs I have rescued a Basset Hound and a Terrier in the past 2 years. Both dogs came to me with numerous amounts of skin and health issues from bad diets. Per the recommendation of my vet I tried this because most other recommended foods made their skin worse or they had horrible reactions to it and this was pretty much the end of the line without having to buy food that costs the same as my car payment. They both love it and the small kibble makes it easy for both to eat (one is 54 lbs the other is 10 lbs). The vet has said they have done a 180 degree switch in overall health and their skin is back to normal for healthy hair growth and he contributes a lot of it to this food. Thank you for making a product that put them both back on the road to health.Date published: 2022-12-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Nancy from Jumping Aussies @ Dinner time I have fed my Aussies Taste of the wild Prairie for over 10 years. THEY ALL LOVE IT. The puppy when his bowl is empty he caries it around tying to drain every unforseen crumb! my hope is soon you will come up with an Organic Praire. My dogs have NEVER gotten sick from this food thru the years. I also feed my Maine Coon cat taste of the wild and he LOVES it too!...Date published: 2020-03-19Rated 5 out of 5 by RdNkGrl66 from It helped my dog's skin We have been feeding our pup TotW since we adopted her last summer. We have tried her on all of the grain-free flavors andher favorite has been the Prairie blend. She's a Staffy/Lab mix and has had skin issues from day one. We thought going grain-free would be the best for her allergies, but we were proven wrong. A couple months ago we switched to the Ancient Grains version and her skin has almost totally healed up. She has stopped constantly itching and her hair has grown back. We are so happy that we decided to try the switch.Date published: 2023-03-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Haru from Great healthy food and our dog loves its flavor! Since we switched to Taste of the Wild last year, our dog's coat has become softer and shinier, you notice a big difference when you feed your dog good quality food. She has also been very healthy, this formula gives her all the nutrients she needs. We've bought different flavors, she likes them all, but she particularly loves the Bison & Venison recipe.Date published: 2023-03-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Maggie from Gunner absolutely love it! I have been using Taste of the wild fry dog food for over 8 years. My 1st pit bull Diesel liked the taste of the wild grain free roasted venison and bison. My pit bull Gunner loves the ancient prairie roasted bison and venison. Taste of the wild ancient grains has improved his overall health. Thanks for an absolutely awesome product.Date published: 2023-03-14Rated 5 out of 5 by elenap023f from My dog loved these! As you can see in the picture, he could not wait to open the box and chewed the outside too. But once he tried it he liked it even more! He ate his whole bowl in less than a minute and wanted more! The second baggie will come in handy for traveling as it is the perfect size for a meal or two. The ingredients are simple and clean which makes it easy to give him the best of options as he is still growing and needs good quality food. Will definitely keep buying this brand and recommend to try it out!Date published: 2019-12-16Rated 4 out of 5 by carorum26 from Im rating this a 4 because my dog seems to like it and she prefers a larger kibble, but Influenster provided such a small amount that I feel I cant write a proper review. Any pet owner knows not to abruptly switch their dogs food so Ive only been able to add partial amounts to my dogs current food so as not to shock her system and upset her tummy. I would be willing to purchase this because my vet recommended we go back on a grain product after being on grain free for years. The ingredients seem good and taste of the Wild is a reputable brand. I think in order to get a proper review though influenster needs to provide enough of an amount to fully test the product. Two small bags that equal 2 or 3 portions of food is not enough to leave an honest review about a product.Date published: 2019-11-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Heatherly71 from Perfect for my Saints I have two Saint Bernards and one mix. It was a trail and error until I found Taste of the Wild Bison and Venison. One of my Saint is allergic to chicken and so much more so I am so happy to have found this food for them. No upset stomachs, no itching, just happy dogs! I’m also pleased with the protein content. Only problem is it’s hard to find in my little town so I have to keep asking for their next shipment. Thank you Taste of the Wild for the ancient grains and a no chicken option my allergy riddled dog can eat.Date published: 2022-04-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Porter from Our Frenchie Loves it! Our nearly 1 year old French Bulldog has had itching issues since 3 months. We had tried almost anything. We tried to find things that did not contain chicken which is tough for puppies. Luckily our distributor found us this! He is like a whole new dog and he looks forward to dinner. Thank you Taste of the Wild!Date published: 2023-03-14Rated 5 out of 5 by HKroll from Recommended by my Boxers I did my research and tried several brands before settling on Taste of the Wild. A popular chicken based brand caused allergic reactions in one of my dogs. Another higher priced brand caused excessive thirst and had to be returned. I started feeding Taste of the Wild grain free which they had no problems with and then made the personal choice to switch to Ancient Grains which they also enjoy. No digestive issues, no allergies, shiny coats; I regularly recommend Taste of the Wild with my Boxer Facebook group.Date published: 2022-04-25Rated 5 out of 5 by djrpkr from Our Dogs Love This Food We've been feeding taste of the wild for years. Made the mistake of trying another, alledged quality, less expensive brand, and our pups health and coat changed for the worst. Didn't take long after getting them back on Taste of the Wild and we were back to great coats and healthy.Date published: 2022-04-25What is the source of the dried yeast in TOTW with ancient grains?
